Why People Get Sick?

Do you know why people get sick? There are many reasons. It maybe lack of food to eat or it may not eat the right kind of food. Another reason may be that someone stay up too late at night and do not get enough sleep like mine, hehe.

Some people's bodies are too weak, and they can' fight sickness, even if they try to take care of themselves. But the reson why we all get sick because we are sinners. The Bible says that all of us are born with sin because of Adam. He disobeyed God's law.

Will there ever be a time when we will not get sick? Yes, In the future Jesus will heal us and we will have perfect health. He will do this as King of God's Kingdom. It is very very soon!

What a blessing that will be!

Should We Brag About Anything?

Have you ever tried to do something that you are not very good at? Maybe you tried to skip rope. Did anyone say, "Ha! Ha! Ha! I can do that better than you can"? Or "I'm better than you".

That person was bragging. Well, many people are like that. They would brag, or boast, about themselves and look down on everyone else.

When Jesus told his apostles that they would leave him when he was arrested, Peter bragged:'Even if everyone else leaves you, I never will!' But Peter was wrong. He was too sure of himself. He did leave Jesus. Read all the story in the Bible in Matthew 26:31-33.

Maybe some people are stronger than others but it is not the reason to be brag. The lesson for this is never think that you are good more than anyone else.

Always remember Jesus' words: 'Just as you want other people to do to you, do the same way to them.'

The Way To Be Happy

Though feeling tired and sleepy I've read to my baby the way to be happy.

Yes, we ALL like to be happy but not many people really are. Why?

Because they have not learned the secret of happiness. Some think that getting a lot of things is the way to be happy. But when they get these things, their happiness does not last.

The Great Teacher said in Acts 20:35-"There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving." This is the way to be happy, it is by giving things to others and by doing things for them.

There are many ways in which we can give. If we give because we really want to, we will be happy. That is why Jesus tells us "Practice giving". If we do, we will be making other people happy. And we will be the happiest of all!.

I'll take a rest early because my baby is not moving. maybe I'm feeling tired and sleepy. I need to wake up early..

Friday, Saturday and Prejudice

Prejudice is a common negative trait that we imperfect humans readily shown. While psychologists and experts continues to find different causes and roots of prejudice, it is simply not liking someone simply because he may look different or may speak different language, may think differently or having a set of values and beliefs that are unpopular that runs counter to the general attitude or view. In short, prejudice is having a bad feeling or a belief about someone before we really get to know him.

Do you think it is right not to like someone before you really know what kind of person he is or just because he is different? - No, prejudice is not right neither it is kind.

In the Bible Jesus relates to us the famous story dealing about prejudice. It is often called "The Good Samaritan". The story was about a Jew and a Samaritan. A man (Jew) was walking along the road from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers grabbed him, beat him up and left him half dead beside the road. Later a priest came along that road but on seeing the man, the priest went by on the opposite side of the road. Then, another very religious man came down that road and he did the same thing. Finally a Samaritan came along. The Jews and the Samaritans have a long history of not liking one another. But when he saw the half dead man, he did not say to himself; 'Why should I help this Jew? He would not help me if I was hurt'?

But the Samaritan felt sorry for the man, got off from his animal, went over to the man, and began caring for his wounds, wrapped up the wounds with cloth, gently lifting him into his animal and finding a place where the hurt man can be taken cared off. He took good care of him.

In this story, Jesus the Great Teacher wants us to be kind and to be helpful to others no matter who they may be, eliminating that one negative human trait - Prejudice.

I will do my best to combat this negative attitude in me and instill this very fine quality to my baby starting at young age until he grows up...

Why We Should Forgive?

Why We Should Forgive? That's what i've read to my baby. We, especially should learn how to be forgiving. If somebody hurts you, what would you response? Are you gonna hurt him/her back?
What if a person is unkind to us many times? How many times should we forgive him?

We need to forgive not only 1 time or 2 times or 7 times but we need to forgive always so that God will forgive also our sins. We are not perfect anyway.

When we do forgive and it comes from the bottom of our heart, we show that we really want to be followers of the Great Teacher, Jesus.

Jesus Teaches Us to Pray

Do you talk to our God oftenly? Just like Jesus did when he is on earth. He went up into the mountain by himself to pray. He was there alone and Jesus would also pray when he had meetings with his disciples. He also prayed at mealtimes. He thank Jehovah for his food.

What about us? Do we do the same? What should we say in our prayers to our loving God?

In Matthew chapter 6:9-13, Jesus teaches us how to pray. Jesus told us to pray about God's name. He said to pray that God's name be sanctified, or treated as holy. Jehovah is the God's name. Yes, it is Jehovah.

Second, Jesus taught us for God's Kingdom to come. It will bring peace to the earth and make it a paradise and so on and so forth..

We can pray to God at any time during the day or night. We should believe that God Jehovah hears our prayers.

Why disobedience is widespread

Satan is the reason why many people are disobedient to God. He is the cause of our original parents disobedience. Many angels too are influenced by him to disobey God and became demons. Yes, contrary to what others thought Satan is a real spirit person that push us to go against God's will.

But Jehovah God and His son Jesus Christ are more powerful than our greatest enemy. If we draw close to them, the Devil and his demons will flee from us. When on earth Jesus provided an example on how each one of us can resist temptations.

Everyday we face temptations. But by drawing close to God, learning from the examples in the Bible, constantly asking for His protection and doing things that are pleasing to Him we can be victorious!

These are some of the points that I will be reading later before bedtime.

Baby's responding

This day seems like a continuation of the day before. After taking a shower I've done nothing. I enjoyed my day though.

Later I'll continue to read Bible stories to my baby. The topic for today is about who is the main reason why people become disobedient to God. I'll write about it on this blog later.

Meanwhile, I am happy to tell you that my baby is responding to our reading. During the 15-minute reading, he/she always let me know that he's aware by moving or kicking everytime.

"Keep Walking"

After a hectic week, I have an opportunity to see my doctor and be updated on what's going on inside 'there'. I am quite happy that the vital signs, my weight gains, blood pressure and the physical changes are positive and normal. She even hinted that my baby is 80% Boy which added to our excitement, for even up to now we haven't come up with a girl's name aside from Ethan which is a boy's.

I have the time also to rest up a bit and recharge my spirit because when we come home after the class last Thursday, I'm feeling a little bit of fatigue and burnout. But now I think I regain my strength and will to continue. As Johnnie Walker used to say, "Keep Walking".

Continuation..

Those who obeyed Jesus they were safe. They were far away from Jerusalem. So they were not hurt. Obedience protected them..

If we love God we need to obey him too. He give the HOly Scripture, The Bible to protect us. Today, many people don't believe in the Bible because it was written by man. According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, all scriptures is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God maybe fully competent, completely equipped for every goodwork.

That's it for this evening..

Obedience Protects You

When we obey God, we are showing that we love him. The Bible says: "This is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments." (1John 5:3). So, we all need to obey God.

Let me tell you a story about some people whose lives were saved because they were obedient. These people lived long ago in the big city of Jerusalem. Most of the people in that city did not listen to God, so Jesus warned them that God was going to have their city destroyed. Jesus also told them how they could escape if they loved what was rigth. He said: When you see armies all around Jerusalem, you will know that its destruction is getting near. Then is the time to get out of Jerusalem and run to the mountains.

Well, just as Jesus said, armies came to attack Jerusalem. The armies of Rome camped all around it. Then, for some reason, the soldiers left. Most of the people thought that the danger had passed. So they stayed in the city. Those who really believed in Jesus left their homes and ran to the mountains far away from Jerusalem.

For a whole year, nothing happened to Jerusalem. In the second and third year nothing happened. So, some people may have thought that those who had left the city were foolish. But then in the fourth year, the Roman armies came back. They camped again in the city. Now it was too late to escape. The armies destroyed the city and most of the people inside it died and the rest were taken prisoner.

But what happened to those who had obeyed Jesus?
That is the next topic tomorrow, hehehe..

Have a nice sleep!

A Fine Lesson..

We will be like the Great Teacher too and serve other people. We can all do things for others. This will make them happy. But best of all, it will make Jesus and his Father happy.

Yes, it is not hard to serve other people. If you watch, you will see many things that you can do for others. For example in school, we can serve other people. It might be our classmates or our teacher. Like holding the door open for someone is a kind service and many many things. At times, we will find that people will not thank us for serving them but this should not stop us from doing good like Jesus did..

So let's never hold back from serving other people. Always follow Jesus example.

The Great Teacher

Jesus wanted his disciples and his followers to serve one another. He did not want them to think only about themselves. He did not want them to think that they were so important that others should always serve them. He wanted them to be willing to serve others.

So, He did a good example. While they were all having a meal together, Jesus got up from the table and took off his outer garments. Picking up a towel, he wrapped it around his waist. Then he took a wash basin and put water into it. As they watched, Jesus went around to all of them, bent down, and washed their feet. Then he dried their feet with the towel.

What is a fine lesson? I will continue it tomorrow..

Why is Jesus Being Put in a Manger?

Jehovah did something miracle. He took the life of His son from heaven and put it inside Mary. As a result, Jesus began to grow inside of Mary just as other babies grow inside of their mothers.
When the time came for Jesus to be born, Mary and Joseph were visiting the city of Bethlehem. But it was a full of people. They had to stay in a place where animals were kept. There Mary gave birth, and Jesus was put in a manger. A manger is a place that holds feed for cows and other animals to eat.

The angel said at Luke 2:10, 11: 'Look! I am telling you good news that will make people happy. Today someone was born who will save the people. Suddenly, other angels in heaven joined the first angel in praising God. 'Glory to God', the angel sang "and upon earth peace among men of goodwill". We can read that at Luke 2: 12-24.

Later, Joseph amd Mary took Jesus to the city of Nazareth. That is where Jesus grew up. When he was grown, he began his great teaching work. Jesus was willing to do work because Jesus loved his heavenly Father very much.

I want my baby to please Jehovah God too when he grow up..
